| The LA7SIX and LA7VHF has been up and
running since April 1991 and was idea of LA0BY Stefan during his stay in North Norway. In September 1997 the beacons lost their initial QTH in JP99LO. They were moved to JP89MB in 1998, but had to be removed again in August 1999 because of RFI. The beacons are now installed at a new location in JP99EC. The site is at about 320 m asl and has reasonable take-off to the South. It is anticipated that the operating status will be stable for a long time. Reports and comments may be sent to the special e-mail address at la7six@hamradio.no and la7vhf@hamradio.no . This e-mail adresses will automaticly confirm the receipt of any report/comment from its autoresponder, sending you additional information on the beacon. Also your comments will be autoforwarded to our beacon-manager Åsmund Birger Jakobsen - la5tfa@hamradio.no. LA5TFA may also be alerted by telephone (+47-77650738, GSM +47-91382140) in case of unusual propagation. |
